We have seen, over the last couple of weeks, that we are
blessed. The blessings of God come through our meekness, our ability to show
mercy, as we trust God with our lives. The blessings, the most valuable
lessons, come from within. Keeping hope alive, with Christ, through any
circumstances is possible.
The Sermon on the
Mount includes what are called “the beatitudes,” the blessings we have looked
at together. The definition for beatitude is “supreme blessedness.” And supreme
blessedness is the definition for a life with Christ.
We should count our
earthly blessings throughout our lives; our physical comforts, our loved ones,
a sunny day, each birthday and so much more. But the abundant blessings through
Christ run deeper. They give us joy, peace, faith and hope. Our souls can be at
rest when we give Him our lives.
Thank Him for our
supreme blessedness today and ask Him to fill You with the deep assurance of a
life with Him, that leads to eternal life. You and I are blessed!
Amen
