Those who are
kind, benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin to themselves. Proverbs
11:17
This verse promises us a benefit, a
blessing from being kind. God’s blessings do come from giving to others. As we
move out in loving kindness to others, let’s take care of the family of Christ.
Therefore, as
we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those that
belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:10
As a family of God’s people, we mourn
together, we comfort one another, we encourage, we rejoice with one another, we
are kind and forgiving and we pray for each other. The Holy Spirit within us
will guide us into prayer. God puts special emphasis on His own people
And pray in the
Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in
mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Ephesians
6:18
As we pray, pray also for those who do not
know Jesus. They are waiting to hear the good news and God is waiting for them.
Father,
We thank You for
challenging us this week. Alert us to prayer needs as we dress in our spiritual
clothes and rely on You, to grow us in the ways of Jesus.
Amen
