The fourth and last purple candle, often
called the "Angels Candle," represents peace and was lit yesterday, the last Sunday in
Advent.
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel,
praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth
peace, goodwill toward men." Luke 2:13–14
Ask God to give you His kind of peace over the next busy week of
Christmas. Remember the birth of our
Savior, Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Let His hope, joy, and peace give
you the faith to move ahead in the coming year with Him as your guide.
Lord,
We praise You for sending Your Son to save us. Keep us filled with peace
as we remember what this season is meant to celebrate. We love You, Jesus.
