My husband and I
are both introverts by nature. I love being home alone, studying, reading and writing.
We both love our friends and family, but we are often the first to leave a
gathering. We spend most of each day together, but we both appreciate the
reality of the man cave.
Today, even for you
extroverts, try to embrace your inner introvert. God will meet you right where
you are. Even for us solitary souls, we are never alone. Knowing Him and His word
and what He says about our short lives on earth allows us to fulfill the
purpose He has in store for each of us.
Jesus often went
away by Himself to pray.
Very
early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and
went ff to a solitary place where He prayed. Mark 1:35
At
daybreak, Jesus went off to a solitary place. The people were looking for Him
and when they came to where He was, they tried to keep Him from leaving them.
Luke 4:42
But Jesus
often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Luke 5;16
If the Son of God
Himself needed time to withdraw and pray, how much more is it necessary for us?
Lord,
Remind us to spend time with You. Let that be a priority in our
lives. Help us to prioritize You above all else and give us those in need of
prayer.
In Jesus name,
Amen
