As we give careful
thought to our ways, Jesus offers us some things to think about. Imagine the
crazy world around us filled with sexual immorality, with drugs, with violence
and hate. And think, instead on these things.
Finally,
brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever
is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or
praiseworthy-think about such things. Philippians 4:8
Hard to move into
the excellent from the mediocre, from small lies and deception into truth, from
the unclean to the pure, from the ugliness around us to the lovely, but Christ
offers just that. Think on those things. Focus on the lovely, the excellent,
the admirable. Focus on what is right in God’s sight.
Father,
You turn the world upside down. Your truth undermines
everything we see and hear. Take over our thoughts and actions until we shine
with Your glory.
