Life can become so self-focused can’t it? What’s best
for me? How can I make life comfortable for me? We get offended, critical and
angry at others when they don’t fit into our idea of how life should work.
Jesus, the Lord of all, the Creator of the universe, the One that calls the
stars by name, came to earth to serve.
And,
being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to
death-even death on a cross. Philippians 2:8
As we follow Jesus, He
asks us to put Him and others first. Look beneath the surface to see the heart.
Open up to others in love and kindness. Jesus became one of us and died for us.
Represent Him well.
Be
devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Romans
12:10
Father,
Your Son gave us everything for us. Teach us how to
put others first and to humble ourselves before You. Give us Your heart today.
