Thank you for your prayers. My friend came through brain
surgery with flying colors. The tumor was large and was removed successfully,
other than a small part attached to a vein, which should not cause issues. She
called me the morning after surgery and sounds fantastic! She has relied on
Jesus for most of her life and is so thankful for all of the prayers
surrounding her and holding her up.
Life is filled with
thanksgiving, with grief, with hope, with loss, with miracles, and with
questions. As we praise God for this successful surgery, two friends have lost
daughters recently, one from suicide and one from a rare pancreatic cancer.
Both had children of their own. The questions and heartache are seemingly
impossible to navigate right now.
And, somehow, God
uses these heartaches to grow us together, to comfort, to listen, to mourn, to
hope for heaven. I praise God for their beautiful lives this morning. I praise
Him for loving them, even though they left us too soon. I pray for His loving
arms to be wrapped around the children and the families as they struggle to
cope.
The tears will
flow. Our hearts may feel like bursting from the hurt. But I pray God may grant
you blessings today, reasons to praise God through all of life’s ups and downs.
He is our Rock, our Shepherd, Our loving Father, Our Savior, and He is with us.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves
those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus
Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in
all our troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort
we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Lord,
Thank You for Your compassion and grace. We praise You through
it all. Please be with our friends and family as they grieve, as they cope, as
they heal and as they turn to You.
In Jesus name,
Amen
