Our daughter, Lauren, has had a strong faith in Jesus since
she was a very young girl. Prayer has always come naturally to her and her
faith has remained steadfast over the years. Prayer sustained all of us as her
son, Gavin, suffered with a rare form of epilepsy. Now, she is a prayer warrior
at their church. Her favorite verse sums up all that God is, was and will be to
her.
Surely God
is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord Himself is
my strength and my defense. He has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
Trust in God’s
strength and not your own. Remind yourself of your salvation. Let Him be your
Savior, the calm in the midst of chaos, the strength in weakness, the defense
against any fear, the truth in the middle of doubt, our home at the end of this
earthly life. He is our salvation, now
and forevermore.
Lord,
You are all things to us. This verse gives us so much to rely
on in our day-to-day lives. Give us the faith of a young child, with open trust
and love.
In Jesus name,
Amen
