And Two Shall Become One

My mother’s heart is full of joy. Our baby is getting married in a week! I will be taking two weeks off from writing and from a few other things. I don’t want to miss a moment of expectation, of capturing each moment, and of savoring the memories. I pray you do the same each day with those you love. When we witness the swiftness of the years, more and more, we appreciate each other and sweet moments. I leave you with the two Scripture passages they have chosen for their wedding day. May God bless you and keep you until May 26th.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast. It is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Corinthians 13;4-7

But at the beginning of creation God made them male and female. For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.  Mark 10:6-9

The two will become one flesh and our family will gain a son. And the Son of God will be present, right in the center of the ceremony and in the center of their lives. Praise God!!

Lord,
We ask for Your face to shine upon our daughter, and her fiancé, on this special day as they join their lives together in front of family and friends and in Your holy presence. Thank you for the blessing of raising children.
In Jesus name,

Amen
