As we
age, let’s gain our strength from the Lord. He changes our countenance. He
changes our attitude. He affects the way we react to our circumstances,
including physical changes. Live in awe of Him, with a willingness to serve and
you can be like the Proverbs 31 woman.
Charm
is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be
praised. Proverbs 31:30
Aging can bring out the inner beauty, the type
of beauty that is pleasing to God. That
type of beauty never fades. I know women like that and I hope you do, too.
Watch and learn from the wisdom of older women of faith. Follow their lead.
Rather,
it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet
spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. 1 Peter 3:4
Lord,
It is beautiful to see the inner beauty of the
aging, the gentle and quiet spirit oozing with Your love. Guide us to age with
grace and confidence, in knowing we are just getting a little closer to home.
Amen
