Back to Jesus

Even with my word of the year, "contentment," I realize there will be days, maybe weeks or months this year when I don’t feel or act content. You, too? We are human, and even with the best of intentions, our resolutions, our resolve to strive for something new, we fall short.

God is the God of second chances and new beginnings. His grace covers our failures. His strength rises up when we are weak. His wish for us is to trust Him, even when we are out of sorts and can’t see our way to the next day.

It is impossible for me to imagine getting through this life without Jesus Christ. He is always waiting when I return to His grace and mercy. His love endures forever and all He asks in return is faith, trust and love. Look up and ask Him to be a part of your life this year in a deeper, more satisfying way.

Run to Him and tell Him you believe! He died and rose again for you and me. He conquered death for us. Because of Him, we need no longer fear death.

Where, O death is your victory? Where O death is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord, Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57

Count on Him to get you to heaven. And count on Him to get you through today, tomorrow and the rest of your life. Count each day as a blessing. He will turn even our worst days into something good to bring glory to Himself.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose. Romans 8;28

Father,

We won’t always see the good that comes through the tough times, but we believe You work everything into something good. Your plan rises above what we see and hear into something that will last forever. We give it all to You.

In Jesus name,

Amen
