The deep joy of the Lord gives us a continual bounty of
blessings for our souls. The circumstances surrounding us may overwhelm
everything, as fear and doubt and worry take hold. This week, let’s focus on
the joy that is available to us at ALL times, the deep and abiding joy of faith
in Christ.
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and
even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an
inexpressible and glorious joy, for you are receiving the end result of your
faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9
Inexpressible
and glorious joy! Our souls are saved and one day, in eternity, we will be
clothed with our eternal bodies forever. Let that deep faith bring you joy. The
joy of the Lord, as we will see this week, offers refreshment and strength. God’s
love can overcome our troubled hearts.
I will be glad and rejoice in Your love, for you
saw my affliction and knew the anguish of my soul. Psalm 31:7
Lord,
We rejoice in our souls today for knowing You. You give us
unending joy in Your presence. Lift up our spirits with Your love and with the
joy that brings comfort.
