Wondering which path to take next? Do we look back to the past
for the answers or do we press forward to what is ahead? The answer is “yes!”
This is
what the Lord says, “Stop at the crossroads and look around, and ask for the
ancient paths where the good way is, and walk in it and find rest for your
souls.” Jeremiah 6:16a
Brothers
and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one
thing I do; forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.
Philippians 3:13
Are you standing at
a crossroad? When we need direction, there are answers in the Bible. Learn from
the ancient ways. The Bible is full of stories of men and women just like us.
They had doubts. They made mistakes. They followed the wrong path. They asked
for forgiveness. And they moved ahead.
Look at the ancient
paths and forget the doubts and mistakes. You are forgiven. Press on to what is
ahead. Jesus is right there leading the way. He may set you on a brand-new
path.
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do
you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the
wasteland. Isaiah 43:19
Jesus,
We get confused. We wonder what’s next. Guide our eyes and
ears to see and hear Your Word and strain toward Your goals, Your ways, Your
direction.
Amen
