The
spiritual gift of teaching allows someone to understand, communicate and apply
the Word of God to benefit others in the faith. Those with this gift have a thirst
for knowledge and a passion to share Biblical truth. They enjoy gaining new insight from the
Bible, subsequently finding ways to communicate it to others. They have a
passion to help others grow in faith.
Sometimes they may study too much without
sharing information or be too profound or too detail oriented. They may be
discouraged if others are not as excited as they are about a subject. (I can relate!)
Do you enjoy studying and researching? Do
others come to you for insight into Scripture? Do you enjoy speaking to various
sizes of groups about Biblical issues?
This gifting includes working in
one-on-one discipleship, in speaking to informal Bible study groups or in large
group settings.
If
it is serving, let him serve, if it is teaching, let him teach. Romans 12:7
Dear
Father,
Thank
You for the teachers among us, those willing to study hard and apply the Word
of God to real life and to teaching others. Give them more and more of Your
wisdom and understanding during these days.
