When we are filled
with the Spirit and walk with the Spirit, we will grow spiritual fruit in our
lives. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. (John 15) When we abide in the vine He will grow the fruit. And
just what does this fruit look like? Here it is.
But the
fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22
Which fruit needs
tending in your life? Scripture can give you clues on how to grow in each one
of the fruit of the Spirit. When we grow healthy fruit, it will show in us and
through us to the world around us.
Lord,
Grow good fruit in us. Your love covers a multitude of sins.
Unconditional love taught by You will help all of the other fruit to grow to
maturity.
