The commandments and the law given to Moses are impossible for
man to keep. In fact, they were given so that man would recognize his own sin,
for us to understand our need for a God who saves. The Bible continually points
to Jesus. And His first coming and second coming was and will be timed
perfectly.
We will never
understand the complete plan of God, but He loves each one of us and does not
want to lose even one.
The Lord
is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, He is
patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to
repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
God’s timing.
Impossible to understand, but Peter reminds us that to God a day is like a
thousand years and a thousand years, like a day. (2 Peter 3) Let’s continue to
humble ourselves before Him as we await His coming. Pray for others to be
saved.
Lord,
We can’t fathom eternity. You set the earth in motion and You
will bring about its end and its redemption. We await the new heaven and the
new earth. We witness the evil around us, but You are not slow in coming. The
whole world is in Your hands.
