Prayer is powerful. If you are praying for someone to come to
faith in Christ, remember God’s omniscience and foreknowledge. The Bible is
full of God’s understanding in meeting each person’s needs. He understands when
a heart will be ready. He met Paul on a dirt road and changed his life.
As for Moses, God
led him and his people in the wilderness for 40 years!
Remember
how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years
in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep His
commands. Deuteronomy 8:2
If you feel God
calling you, be patient. He waits for our hearts to be ready, first to believe
and then to serve. He does not call qualified people. He qualifies the people
He calls. Listen for His lead.
Jesus,
It is hard to be patient. Teach us to wait for Your timing.
Help us to humble ourselves before You in service. Help us to change the world
in Your powerful name, the name of Jesus.
