Jesus explained the purpose of His Holy
Spirit:
But
when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth. He will
not speak on His own. He will speak only what He hears and He will tell you
what is yet to come. He will glorify me, because it is from me that He will
receive what He will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine.
That is why I said the Spirit will receive from Me what He will make known to
you. John 16:13-15
Never forget. As believers, the Holy
Spirit lives in us and dwells with us. In these Words from Christ to us, we
witness all that we have been given. The Spirit will guide us into all truth.
He speaks what He hears from Jesus. He glorifies Christ in all He does through
us. He makes known to us everything that belongs to our Father in heaven.
Our bodies may fade away, but the Spirit
brings life. One day our bodies will be redeemed into bodies that will last
forever. Our spirits will never die. They will transition on the day we meet
Jesus face-to-face. In the meantime, the Spirit sanctifies us to become more and more like the One we glorify.
Father,
The Triune God is impossibly more than we can imagine. Father, Son and Holy Spirit make up the One true God. Help us to glorify the Son, the One who redeemed us.
In His name we pray,
Amen
