The Gift of Life

     The eyes of the Lord cannot look on sin. (Habukkuk 1:13) The only possible way for God to see us, to be in relationship with us is through His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of our sinful natures, there is no way for God to reach us or for us to reach God. He is pure. He is holy. He is righteous. He in truth. He is light.

     Jesus, fully man and fully God, lived the sinless life that is impossible for each one of us. Imagine God stepping down from heaven and living and dying for us. Not only did He suffer a painful death, He carried each of our sins, all of our diseases, all of the violence, all of it, on Himself. The agony on that cross is beyond anything any of us will suffer in our lifetimes.

     What does He ask of us in return for His great sacrifice? To believe He did it. It is a free gift. Why will so many turn away? Why do we try so hard not to believe? Satan’s schemes and deceptions are alive and well and will increase until Christ’s return. Stay faithful. Stay watchful. Stay in relationship with Jesus. God sees us through the lens if Christ. His righteousness became ours and God ssees us as blameless!  Hallelujah. Praise His holy name.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1

Father,

How can we thank You for sending Jesus in our place? His death and resurrection give us eternal life, with Your grace and through our faith. It is so simple. Yet many do not understand. Help us, as Your sons and daughters, to spread the good news of this free gift of life.
