Thank you for taking a few minutes to read Jesus Changes Everything. This blog will
be back on Tuesday, September 3. In the meantime, please find a few Proverbs to
read and enjoy over the next week. King Solomon took over the throne of Israel
after his father, King David, around 970 B.C. He is said to be one of, if not the
wisest man who ever lived. These
Proverbs are filled with reverence for God and tools for wise and practical
living.
Let
love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck; write them
on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs
3:3
Trust
in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all
your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
Whoever
walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found
out. Proverbs 10:9
When
pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. Proverbs 11:2
Anxiety
weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up. Proverbs 12:25
Pride
goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
A
cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
A
gossip betrays a confidence; so avoid anyone who talks too much. Proverbs 20:19
(You will love this oneJ
Better
to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome
wife. Proverbs 21:9
Start
children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will
not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
This
week we paused a moment to think about our mortality and appreciate every
moment of life, we recognized the value in repeating and memorizing God’s Word,
and in asking for and expecting Him to be present with us each day and to be open to the opportunties He places in our paths. Enjoy these Proverbs of Solomon and continue to look for God’s wisdom in your
life. See you soon!
Dear Father in Heaven,
Please bless each reader today and watch over them this week
as we move into the last days of summer. Continue to teach us and guide our
ways through Your Word and Your love.
In Jesus Name,
Amen
