Thy (Your) kingdom come, Thy (Your) will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Now
when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He
answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation, nor
will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For, indeed, the kingdom of God is
within you.” Luke 17:20-21
The
kingdom for Israel will begin with an earthly reign of Christ. This is one of
the reasons they did not recognize Jesus as their Messiah on earth. One day we
will live in the new heaven and the new earth in peace and joy eternally. For
now, the kingdom of God lives within us. We can ask for God’s will to be done
on earth through us!
Let’s
trust Him to use us to do just that; bring His peace and joy to others!
Jesus,
We await the day Your kingdom comes to earth under
Your righteous reign. For now, You have given us the keys to the kingdom
through Your Holy Spirit. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done through
us.
